Student blog:expect the unexpected

Life is filled with unexpected events! During the first week of class, we were told that “50% of life is about showing up” and I have kept that advice in my subconscious ever since.

Most entrepreneurs suffer from the “J-curve,” “hockey stick,” or “valley of death” syndrome. Let me be the first to admit, as an impoverished student and budding entrepreneur, I “sometimes” (read: always) seek ways to reduce expenditures. Okay, as painful embarrassing as it is for me to admit, “sometimes” may be an understatement. Frugality is encoded in my DNA.
