In this role at the Conrad Centre Wayne will continue to serve as the coordinator of our Enterprise Co-op (E Co-op) program as well as develop and teach BET300: Foundations of Venture Creation.
Wayne is well-known in the Waterloo entrepreneurial ecosystem; he is a frequent guest lecturer, judge, and mentor to young entrepreneurs at the University of Waterloo (with involvement in VeloCity, Greenhouse, and the Nicol competition). Wayne is a Mentor Advisor at The Next 36 – Canada’s National Entrepreneurial Leadership Initiative program for undergraduate student start-ups in digital and mobile media. And prior to his career in Waterloo, Wayne worked for seven years in the high-tech sector of Silicon Valley.
“[Wayne's] commitment to entrepreneurship, passion for early-stage ventures, and his ability to engage undergraduate students makes him a particularly valuable member of the Conrad team as we expand our undergraduate programing.”
In addition to his work with E Co-op and BET 300, Wayne will play an integral role in the development and launch of Waterloo's new undergraduate entrepreneurship option.
From everyone here at Conrad, we are very glad to be working with Wayne in a full-time capacity!
