Eugenia Dadzie and Nicole Schulz (LeBlanc): Turning Food Waste into a New Bioplastic

Entrepreneurial PhD Fellows in the part-time MBET program, Eugenia Dadzie and Nicole Schulz (LeBlanc), are driving a sustainable innovation with their team's venture, MetaCycler BioInnovations. By focusing on the growing global issue of food waste, they’re developing an eco-friendly bioplastic that can help reduce landfill contributions and carbon footprints.

Their work promises to create a new, sustainable material that could transform industries like packaging, textiles, and beyond. With sustainability at the heart of their solution, they’re not just innovating—they’re making a lasting environmental impact.

CT Murphy and Ibukun Elebute: Advancing Cervical Cancer Diagnosis with Nanotechnology

CT Murphy partnered with part-time MBET student Ibukun Elebute and together are working on a revolutionary project that aims to improve cervical cancer detection. Their company, CELLECT Laboratories, is leveraging nanotechnology to create a more accurate and accessible diagnostic tool for cervical cancer.

By using innovative nanosensors, their technology could enable faster, cheaper, and more reliable detection methods, ultimately saving lives and improving patient outcomes globally. Their work is a powerful example of how science and entrepreneurship can come together to solve critical health challenges.

Miraal Kabir: Bringing Profits Back to Local Farmers with SAFI
