Tim Jackson

Tim Jackson, BA, CA (CPA), is a Sessional Lecturer at the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business. He is currently the President and CEO of SHAD Network and formerly the Executive Vice President of Corporate and Community Relations for MaRS Discovery District. Tim received his BA in Accounting from the University of Waterloo. He teaches BET 603 – Entrepreneurial Finance for the Technology-based Enterprise.

Doug Sparkes, BE, MASc, PhD, is a Lecturer at the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business.  In his earlier roles, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Rapid Laboratory Microsystem and the Chief Engineer for the National Research Council of Canada. Doug received his PhD and MASc from the University of Waterloo. He teaches BET 607 - Managing Technological Innovation, BET 410 A/B - Capstone Entrepreneurship Planning and Execution, BET- 411 Capstone Planning Entrepreneurship and Execution, and BET - 412 Advanced Topics in Entrepreneurship.

Mark Weber is the Eyton Director of the Conrad School and Professor of Management and Organizations. Prior to joining the faculty of the University of Waterloo, Mark served on faculty and taught courses on leadership, negotiations and organizational behavior to students at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, INSEAD and at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Mark’s research focuses on leadership, cooperation, negotiations, decision-making, and trust. He consults extensively and has provided training to executives and professionals in the automotive, education, healthcare, pharmaceutical, broadcast media, entertainment, telecommunications, professional services, and financial services industries, and in government at all levels.
