The best way to start feeling at home in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department is to get involved! There are great ways to get to know your fellow classmates, faculty members and graduate students.

Clubs and organisations

  • The Earth Sciences Undergraduate Society (WATROX) is a student-run organization that coordinates a variety of social activities and field trips throughout the year. To become a member of WATROX visit the WATROX Facebook page.
  • Represent the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences by becoming a Science Ambassador.
  • Earth Science Museum, located in the Centre for Environmental and Technology (EIT), regularly hosts school groups and offers several volunteer opportunities.
  • Waterloo Science Endowment Fund (WatSEF).

Fall term events
