Crypto Standards, Research and Applications

Abstract

The talk will highlight the current NIST crypto standard status, challenges, and future views. It will discuss some new research areas and impact to the cryptographic standards and also provide an update on the NIST security guidelines for crypto applications in network, infrastructure, and devices.

Speaker Biography

Dr. Lily (Lidong) Chen is a mathematician and the acting manager of Cryptographic Technology Group of Computer Security Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology.  Dr. Chen received her Ph.D degree from Aarhus University, Denmark in Applied Mathematics. Her research areas include cryptographic protocols and their applications in communication security.
