Electrical and computer engineering Professor, Fakhri Karray, and students, receive the 2021 IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Best Land Transportation Paper Award

Congratulations to electrical and computer engineering professor, Fakhri Karray, and his students, former PhD student, Arief Kowesdwiady, and former postdoctoral fellow, Ridha Soua, for being named recipients of the prestigious 2021 IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Best Land Transportation Paper Award for their article: "Improving Traffic Flow Prediction with Weather Information in Connected Cars: A Deep Learning Approach." 

The award, established by the Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) in 2001, recognizes the best research work related to Land Transportation published in the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology over the past few years, that demonstrates significant impact on research in the field. A formal announcement of the award will be made during the fall Annual VTS 2021 Conference (September 2021).
