Girl Guides of Canada Programs

Girl Guide Canada

Engineering Outreach is proud to partner with Girl Guides of Canada through our Women in Engineering Program to offer engaging STEM-focused workshops and events designed for Girl Guide units of all ages. Units have the opportunity to participate in fun and interactive hands-on activities and engage with inspiring mentors who share their university experience. Units can join one of our exciting Badge Days or reach out to arrange a personalized visit to the University of Waterloo campus.

Badge Days

Women in Engineering hosts two annual Badge Days that bring together multiple Girl Guide units to earn a special badge awarded by the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWIE). Participants complete all badge requirements through fun, hands-on activity stations led by university students and staff. Along the way, they’ll connect with inspiring mentors who share their personal journeys and experiences in engineering.

We currently offer an Embers Badge Day at our Stratford Campus each spring, and a Girl Guide Badge Day at our Waterloo Campus every fall.
