After School STEM Clubs
WiE after school clubs are 4-week long programs for girls*. Participants will explore a variety of STEM topics through hands-on activities. Explore new technology, design and build solutions to unique problems, and improve your coding skills, all while connecting with new friends during this in-person program! No prior experience is necessary! For those who attended previous clubs, the activities will be different, so please feel free to join us for Winter 2026!
We are excited to offer free cheese and halal pepperoni pizza each week of the club. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dietary needs.

Grades 2-4: January 29th-February 19th
Grades 5-7: March 26th-April 16th
Time: Thursday evenings from 5:30pm-7:30pm

Go CODE Girl
This program is a FREE and exciting opportunity for Grade 7 - 10 youth who identify as girls* to learn about the wonderful fields of technology, computing and software engineering. Meet current engineering students, learn about some of the amazing things women engineers are doing, and participate in awesome activities!
Parents/guardians will also have the opportunity to tour Engineering buildings on campus and attend an Engineering Admissions Information Session.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
Join us to celebrate Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day! Participants will get the chance to hear from a guest speaker, engage in a hands-on Engineering activity, and tour a cool engineering space on campus!

WiE x Catalyst Grade 11 Conference
Are you a grade 11 girl* curious about engineering? Want to see what university is like?
Join us for the WiE x Catalyst Conference happening on April 25th-26th, 2026!
What to expect:
- Workshops: Learn more about the world of engineering through workshops hosted by Waterloo engineers!
- Design Challenge: Become an engineer for the day and utilize the engineering design cycle to solve your design challenge
- Residence Life: During the conference, you will be staying in a university residence. Get a taste of residence life and meet new people!
Please note this is an overnight event, open to grade 11 students. Application is required as limited space is available.
