ESQ Family Programs

ESQ Family Programs aims to build confidence through shared exploration and problem-solving by offering free events and workshops engaging children and their parents/guardians/mentors in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. Join us for our Family STEM Nights and special events to spark curiosity and foster collaborative learning!

To register for the programs below, you will have to create an account with our registration system. If you already have one created, perfect! If you have not created an account with us yet, you can do so by following our registration guidelines.

ESQ Family STEM Nights

Bring the whole family for an evening of hands-on STEM fun! Explore a creative, interactive activity that inspires teamwork, curiosity, and learning in an exciting, engaging environment. Siblings (all ages) are welcome. 

 No prior experience is required, and new content is developed each term, making repeat participation welcome and encouraged.   
 
Grades & Dates: 

  • Grade K-2 +Family: Wednesday, December 9

  • Grade 3-5 +Family: Thursday, December 17

Time: 6:30 - 8:00 pm  
Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo Campus (Please note: the specific location will be emailed closer to the programming date)   
Cost: Free 

ESQ Spooktacular STEM Night Drop-in Event

This Halloween, Engineering Outreach invites curious minds to our third annual event where creativity, engineering, and spooky science collide in a frightfully fun evening of STEM. This is a family event, and each registered child will receive a treat bag of candy after completing themed activities with their parent or guardian.  Attending in costume, or orange/black clothing is encouraged but not required.
