The University of Waterloo has committed to the integration of the Excellence Canada's Excellence, Innovation, and Wellness (EIW) Standard across the university as a national quality standard against which to measure and enable organizational excellence, innovation and wellness.
About Excellence Canada
Excellence Canada’s Excellence, Innovation and Wellness (EIW) Standard provides a strategic umbrella for continual organizational improvement. It is structured in a progressive implementation model with four levels (bronze, silver, gold and platinum) and focuses on five areas: Leadership, Planning, Customers, People, and Processes.
The University has committed to integrating the EIW Standard university-wide at the Going-for-Gold level, which is a direct application to the Gold level, which combines the requirements outlined at the bronze, silver, and gold levels.
Previous to this university-wide commitment, seven units within the University certified under the EIW Standard at the Bronze and/or Silver levels.
