The University of Waterloo has committed to the integration of the Excellence Canada's Excellence, Innovation, and Wellness (EIW) Standard across the university as a national quality standard against which to measure and enable organizational excellence, innovation and wellness.
About Excellence Canada
Excellence Canada’s Excellence, Innovation and Wellness (EIW) Standard (pdf) provides a strategic umbrella for continual organizational improvement. It is structured in a progressive implementation model with four levels (bronze, silver, gold and platinum) and focuses on six areas: Leadership and Governance, Strategy and Planning, Service Excellence, People Engagement, Process and Project Management, Partners and Suppliers.
The University has committed to integrating the EIW Standard university-wide at the Gold level.
Previous to this university-wide commitment, seven units within the University integrated the EIW Standard at the Bronze and/or Silver levels:
|Faculty / Service Unit / Office||Bronze||Silver|
Applied Health Sciences
Office of the Vice-President Academic and Provost
Office of the President
Organizational & Human Development
