GEM graduate student wins Kimberley Foundation experiential learning fellowship

We would like to congratulate Vicky Vanthof, a Doctoral candidate in Geography and Environmental Management, who has won the 2019 Hugh C. Morris Experiential Learning Fellowship, offerred by the Kimberley Foundation.

Vicky’s proposed Experiential Learning Journey is set to run from November 1, 2019 to October 31, 2020, and will provide her with a unique opportunity to travel to three continents so that she can engage with and learn from research experts, community members and industry leaders. She will also undertake field work with Southern Indian communities, with a goal to “develop a comprehensive understanding of how big data analytics can be leveraged for improved water resource management of reservoir rainwater harvesting structures in less developed countries”.
