This award has been established in memory of David Zaharchuk, a doctoral student in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The University of Waterloo wished to honour David, and at the request of David's family, the bursary was established. Full-time graduate students registered in any discipline at the University of Waterloo may apply. The students need to be in good standing with proven financial need. This bursary will be adjudicated in the Fall term. Students must complete the Graduate Student Award Application found on the Graduate Studies Forms site.

Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
