Award description: 

Waterloo is pleased to provide the President's Graduate Scholarship (PGS) to outstanding graduate students who hold certain major federally and provincially-funded competition-based scholarships.

The PGS is provided each year that a student holds an eligible graduate scholarship at Waterloo.

Value description: 

The PGS is valued at up to $10,000. A portion of the PGS is paid as a scholarship by Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) and for some awards, a portion is paid by the student's department as either a scholarship, Graduate Research Studentship, Teaching Assistantship (TA) or Research Assistantship (RA).

Eligibility & selection criteria: 

Students who hold one of the following scholarships at Waterloo are eligible to receive a President’s Graduate Scholarship:

Program:
Open to any program
Citizenship: 
Canadian/Permanent resident, International/study permit student
Selection process: 
Student selected automatically by Faculty/Department
