Glow Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity

Glow is the oldest continually-running university-based 2SLGBTQ+ group in Canada. Run entirely by dedicated student volunteers, Glow promotes a healthy attitude towards all sexual orientations and gender identities on the UWaterloo campus by providing a wide variety of peer support, social events, advocacy work, and resources.

Racial Advocacy for Inclusion, Solidarity, and Equity (RAISE)

RAISE works to partner with the University of Waterloo to acknowledge and address the impacts of racism and xenophobia, using anti-oppression approach to dismantle systemic barriers that limit the success and affect the experiences of students of campus.

International Student Wellness Information Document

A collection of information for international graduate students about different types of wellness and resources that may be helpful. Types of wellness covered here include physical, emotional, vocational and intellectual, financial, social, and spiritual.

Waterloo Wellness Resource Database

The Waterloo Wellness Resource Database provides a large span of resources on and off campus (e.g., House of Friendship, hospitals).

International Spouses Group

Since 2005, the International Spouses group has served as a community for those wishing to meet other people, learn about Canada, go on outings and make connections.

 

United College Graduate Housing

The Graduate Apartments Building at United College was designed to promote community, and hosts several common spaces, including a rooftop patio lounge. Apartments are available to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and visiting professors at the University of Waterloo, particularly those with families or dependents.

Off Campus Housing

Off Campus Housing provides supports and resources for students looking for housing options in Waterloo Region.

Family Housing-Columbia Lake Village North

CLV-N is designed for single graduate students, student couples and students with families. Family housing provides many benefits including: being surrounded by other student families, supports for spouses such as conversation circles, and recreational programming at the Community Centre.

Engineering Science Quest (ESQ)

ESQ provides a variety of engaging kids programming, including summer day camps, winter break programming, and March break programming.

Documents for international family members

Within the International Student Resources provided by the Student Success Office, there is information about documents required for international family members to: visit or attend convocation, obtain work permits as a spouse of an international students, and obtain health care coverage.
