Joy Jiang - Statistics and Actuarial Science

Joy Jiang, a PhD graduate from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, has been named one of Forbes’s “30 Under 30” for health care in 2022. Jiang's research focuses on developing statistical methods for precision oncology with a focus on breast cancer. She is especially interested in addressing racial disparities in the medical field and helping improve statistical models to accurately reflect the experiences of women of various races.
