Quantum Shorts Virtual Screening

Friday, February 12, 2021 7:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Lights, camera, spooky action

Join us February 12 at 7pm EST for a virtual screening event featuring the ten finalists of the Quantum Shorts festival.

The Quantum Shorts festival is organized by the Centre for Quantum Technologies at the National University of Singapore and celebrates independent short films inspired by quantum mechanics. Using ideas like the uncertainty principle and multiple universes, filmmakers from around the world have created five-minute wonders. Join us for a live virtual screening of the ten finalists, and vote for your favourite piece of quantum fiction.

As a scientific partner of the festival, IQC is proud to host a screening of the finalists in partnership with the Apollo Cinema in Kitchener. John Donohue, IQC's Manager, Scientific Outreach, will co-host the event with Dr. Mark Terry, Filmmaker and Lecturer in the Laurier Department of English and Film Studies.

Set your reminder on YouTube, and don't forget to order popcorn and more from the Apollo for a night of quantum fun.
