Groundbreaking for the Mike and Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre

Monday, June 9th marked the official groundbreaking for IQC's future home in the heart of UW campus.

Helping to break ground for the Mike and Ophelia Quantum-Nano Centre were: Premier Dalton McGuinty; Mike and Ophelia Lazaridis; David Johnston, UW President; Bob Harding, Chair of UW Board of Governors; John Milloy, Minister of Training, Colleges & Universities; and Leeanna Pendergast, MPP Kitchener-Conestoga.

Once complete, the Centre will be home to the Institute for Quantum Computing and the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology.
