Mixing general relativity and quantum theory

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

IQC hires former postdoctoral fellow Eduardo Martin-Martinez as a Research Assistant Professor.

Eduardo Martin-Martinez now works as a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) studying the field of Relativistic Quantum Information (RQI).

This field brings together information theory with the two pillars of modern physics: general relativity and quantum theory. Martin-Martinez’s research allows him to take advantage of relativistic perspectives to do new things in quantum information, and brings the tools for quantum information theory to study gravity and the structure of space-time.

Cross-appointed at the Perimeter Institute, Martin-Martinez looks forward to studying this mix of modern physics with world-class experts in fundamental physics and quantum information.
