Explore the relationship between belonging and othering and learn how to promote inclusive communities
In the exhibit, Birds of a Feather: When We Flock Together, visitors will explore the meaning of belonging and the impact of othering. Visitors will reflect on their own identities and consider how identity can play a role in inclusion or exclusion. By examining factors that drive othering and its consequences, we hope our visitors learn to think more critically about their daily interactions, and emerge more empathetic towards those who are different from them.
