ePortfolio session

Knowledge Integration Seminar

ePortfolios: your corner of the web, to record what you’ve done, and show off who you’ve become

In KI, you “design your education.”

In this session we’ll be exploring a web-based ePortfolio system called “PebblePad,” which is equal parts repository, resume-builder, reflection-keeper, personal yearbook, and Electronic Portfolio.

Using a prototype ePortfolio we’ll provide, you’ll have the opportunity to think about your KI experience and how to present your knowledge, your skills, and yourself when preparing for your next term, your next degree, or your next job. You’ll learn a little about PebblePad, and maybe a little about yourself too.

We’ll ask each cohort of students key questions about their degrees relative to their educational stage:

  • Who am I and why KI?
  • How do my electives and breadth courses reflect my interests and academic goals?
  • Reviewing my academic experience, what might I work on for my senior research project?
  • How do the skills that I have developed connect to plans for grad school or potential career paths?

The session will be facilitated by KI Associate Chair, Undergrad Studies Vanessa Schweizer, and KI Senior Design Instructor Paul McKone.
