GIS Day - November 18, 2015

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

GIS DayGIS Day is on November 18, 2015 and is a global event to educate people about how geography makes a difference in our lives through the technology of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

To celebrate GIS Day, the Library’s Geospatial Centre and Mapping, Analysis, and Design will be hosting activities and providing refreshments in the Flex Lab (LIB 329) and at the Geospatial Centre in the Dana Porter Library. Please note the new location for this year's event.

This will be a great opportunity to explore some interesting applications of GIS and meet people with an interest in GIS. Anyone interested in finding out about GIS and how it is used at Waterloo is welcome to attend.

If you want to present your work at this event, or to let us know you're attending, please fill out our registration form.

Check out photos and participant lists from previous years. We would also like to acknowledge our sponsors from this year and previous years.

If you have any questions about the event please contact Eva Dodsworth or Scott MacFarlane.

Agenda
