Welcome to Library Week! The University of Waterloo is celebrating Library Week from October 17-21. All month long, libraries and library partners across Canada are raising awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadians’ lives.
What makes the University of Waterloo Library a key factor in your success, no matter what you are pursuing?
On a daily basis, thousands of scholars work in our nearly 2,000 vibrant study and collaboration spaces, using research information and expertise to advance their own ground-breaking ideas. Many more use library resources for study and research through the Library’s web site. We specialize in connecting you to the information resources and expertise that support your learning and scholarship. Through events and workshops, the Ask us virtual chat service, and librarian one-on-one consultations, we’re here to help you to advance your skill in navigating a complex universe of information. While you are in the Library you have access to more Waterloo academic supports like the Writing and Communication Centre, through our drop-in services program.
More than just a place to find books and to study, the University of Waterloo Library can provide key information supports for whatever you need to accomplish.

- Monday, October 17, 1:30–3:30 p.m., Dana Porter Library, first floor lounge: SCA drop-in event to celebrate their new exhibition
- Tuesday, October 18, 2–3 p.m., Teams: Grad Student Workshop featuring Kari Weaver, Caitlin Carter and Sarah Brown
- Wednesday, October 19, 12:30–3 p.m., Dana Porter and Davis Centre library lobbies: Library Open House with the library ambassadors
