Balinese Gamelan

A gamelan is an Indonesian ensemble consisting mainly of bronze gongs and metallophones, with mallets used on metal plates to produce the sound. Each gamelan ensemble has its own fingerprint, so to speak, depending on the pitches chosen by the instrument makers. Be transported to Bali, and try out the instruments afterwards.  Both the student Balinese Percussion Ensemble and the Warga Santi (Community Gamelan) will perform.  This performance is in conjunction with the MusCan conference, which is being held at Conrad Grebel University College this year.
