- Students who want to study Music must apply and be accepted to the University of Waterloo through the Faculty of Arts, or another direct-entry program.

- Declare music as your major at the end of your first year.
- Double majors within the Faculty of Arts or Joint Honours between Music and another Faculty are available after your first year.
