Noon Hour Concerts
The Noon Hour Concert series, sponsored by the University of Waterloo Music Department at Conrad Grebel University College, presents performances by local and international talent. These free concerts are presented in the fall and winter terms and feature classical, jazz, world music, and contemporary works. Noon Hour Concerts take place on most Wednesdays, 12:30 to 1:20 pm, in the Conrad Grebel University College Chapel. See upcoming events for more details.
The Noon Hour Concert series has no admission fee and is supported by donations to the Grebel Fund. For details on how you can get involved visit the Donation webpage.
Public Concerts
The Department of Music has six ensembles that each present one concert at the end of the term: University Choir, Chamber Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Grebel Gamelan, Instrumental Chamber Ensembles, and the orchestra@uwaterloo. See upcoming events for more details.
Community Gamelan
The Community Gamelan is a collaborative learning and music-making experience on an ensemble of bronze instruments from the island of Bali. Open to any interested community members, players participate in a satisfying group music-making experience and learn about another culture and its music at the same time. Chapel Choir and Worship Apprentice Program
The Chapel Choir and the Worship Apprentice Program performs at local churches and other area venues. Email the Department of Music to invite the Chapel Choir or Worship Apprentices to your church.
