Worship Apprenticeship Program: Scholarship Application

Up to five scholarships per term are available to any current University of Waterloo student wishing to develop or explore their leadership gifts and interests within the context of Christian worship may apply.


Take Note: This application requires you to respond to a max. 500-1000 word short answer question. As this document cannot be saved within the application, please prepare your answers in a separate document then cut and paste them into the correct field when prompted. Below are the questions.  Choose one category.

Worship Leader application (1000 word limit)

  1. Describe your leadership activities in your home church or your current spiritual community.
  2. Describe your interest in the practicum and how you learned about it.
  3. What are your goals for the apprenticeship (please refer to the course objectives on the syllabus for reference)?
  4. Write a short reflection (300-500 words) on the relationship between worship, the Bible, and music.

Music Leader application (500 word limit)

  1. Describe your music activities in your home church or your current spiritual community.
  2. Describe your interest in the practicum and how you learned about it.
  3. What are your goals for the apprenticeship (please refer to the course objectives on the syllabus for reference)?
