Tickets will be available from choristers or at the door. The St. Matthew's Centre (housed at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church) is easily accessible via the ION (Queen St. stop) and there is a parking garage across the street at Charles and Benton.
Programme
The feature piece will be performed by the 60 voice University Choir, directed by Liska Jetchick. Composed by Katherina Gimon, Unsung: If the Earth Could Sing is a five-movement work for choir, cello, and percussion. Through the lens of various geological landscapes of Canada, it addresses the impact of the environmental crisis, as it seeks to address the question: "If the earth could sing, what would it tell us?" Gimon’s work is both a celebration of nature’s beauty and a call to action.
