Below are all of the University of Waterloo controlled parking lots and their descriptions. Please see the Interactive Map for reference. Please see our Permit rates page for more information.
There is no parking available 3am - 6am unless otherwise stated. Please view Overnight Parking for more information.
It is the responsibility of all visitors to ensure they are aware of the regulations. Pay and display permits must be displayed at all times. Simply purchasing a permit does not negate the offence of Failure to Display. Permits must be visible to enforcement officers at all times while parked on campus and only in the lot to which the permit is valid as indicated on the top of permit.
Reserved Faculty/Staff Parking
Note: every effort is made to provide the parking lot of your choice, however if space is not available in the lot of your choice we do maintain a waiting list.
Lot A – Transponder Controlled/Reservations/Visitor
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available. Visitor parking is available during weekdays for $2.00 an hour to a maximum of $10. After 3:45 p.m and on weekends this lot is a flat rate of $5.00 with Visa, American Express or MasterCard.

Lot B – Permit Controlled
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available.
Lot H – Transponder Controlled/Reservations/Visitor
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available.Visitor parking is available during non-co-op days for $2.00 an hour to a maximum of $10. After 3:45 p.m and on weekends this lot is a flat rate of $5.00 with Visa, American Express or MasterCard

Lot K – Permit Controlled
Permits are sold to staff members of the residence buildings if space is available.
Lot L – Transponder Controlled
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available. There is currently no evening or weekend parking available.
Lot O – Transponder Controlled
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available.
Lot Q – Permit Controlled/Visitor
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available.Visitor parking is available by purchasing a ticket from the pay and display machine. A valid permit must be displayed at all times. Pay & Display permits purchased here are valid in Q lot only. It accepts coin, WatCard, Visa or Mastercard.

Lot R – Transponder Controlled
Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available.
Visitor parking is available evenings after 3:45 p.m and weekends at a flat rate of $5.00 per entry with Visa or MasterCard

Lot T – Transponder controlled
Permits are sold to faculty, staff and residents of Velocity. Evening and weekend parking for visitors is available until 10:00 pm each night at the meters. Overnight parking requires a permit purchased from Parking Services.
Lot X - Staff/Faculty/Student/Visitor
Any faculty/staff permit holder may park their vehicle at any time, day or night, in X Lot as long as their permit is displayed.

Permits are sold to students on a per term basis valid in C, N, W, & X.
Visitor parking is available by purchasing a ticket from the pay and display machine. A valid permit must be displayed at all times. Pay & Display permits purchased here are valid in C, N, W, & X. It accepts coin, WatCard, Visa or Mastercard.

Permits are also sold to Faculty and Staff.
Lot X is open and free from 4:30 pm Friday until 6:00 am Monday for daily visitors.
School of Pharmacy permits are valid to park here while on main campus after 4:30 p.m.
Any organizers must make prior arrangements prior to using X lot at any time.
Lot M – Visitor Pay and display (permit valid in lot M only)
Visitor parking is available at all times by purchasing a ticket from the pay and display machine. A valid permit must be displayed at all times. Pay & Display permits purchased here are valid only in M-lot. It accepts coin, WatCard, Visa or Mastercard.

Lot D – Reservations/Visitor
Visitor parking at $2.00 an hour to a daily maximum of $15.00. After 3:45 p.m and on weekends it is a flat rate of $5.00. Pay on exit, Visa or MasterCard only.

Lot OV - Visitor
Visitor parking is available all day/evening at $5.00 per day. This lot is a pay on exit with Visa or MasterCard and is also designed to accept exit vouchers given by the clinics at Optometry.

Residence parking
Current residence agreement must be shown prior to a permit being issued. Permits are only issued in the parking lot which covers the residence in which you live. All residence permits are valid 24 hours.
Lot Columbia Lake Village (CLV) - Permit controlled / Visitor pay and display
Permits are available for students living at CLV - S (units 1-100 only).
Permits are available for those living at CLV - N.
24 hour visitor parking is available by purchasing a ticket from the pay and display machine at the community centre. A valid permit must be displayed at all times. Pay & Display permits purchased here are valid in all of CLV only. It accepts coin, WatCard, Visa, Mastercard, or tokens.

Lot University of Waterloo Place (UWP) – Permit controlled / Visitor pay and display
Permits are available for students living at University of Waterloo Place. Pay and display available for visitor parking.
School of Pharmacy permits are valid to park here while on main campus.

Lot E - free parking
The lot on Seagram Drive does not require a permit and is monitored by UW Parking Staff between the hours of 8 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday and open to the public all other times. The lot has been signed accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, please post/tweet or call ext. 33100.
