Ontario government awards $3.4 million to Waterloo researchers for infrastructure
Twenty-nine University of Waterloo researchers will receive $3.4 million from the provincial government to further research innovation in Ontario. Pharmacy Prof. Emmanuel Ho is one of the recipients, and the funding will support his research into developing new methods of stopping HIV transmission. Ho describes the work in the following:
Mike Harris, MPP for Kitchener-Conestoga, Amy Fee, MPP for Kitchener South-Hespeler, and Belinda Karahalios, MPP for Cambridge announced 29 Ontario Research Fund-Research Infrastructure (ORF-RI) awards at the School of Pharmacy in February.
ORF-RI advances research programs by supporting infrastructure needs such as equipment and modern facilities. The announcement is part of a larger investment by the Province of Ontario aimed at advancing Ontario’s competitive edge.
