Co-operative Education, Patient Care Rotations and Community Service Learning

The University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy is unique among pharmacy schools in Canada in that we offer a robust experiential learning program which includes  Co-operative Education, Patient Care Rotations and Community Service Learning (CSL).

Employer paid 16 to 18 week work terms. Three work terms spread throughout the first three academic years provide one year of real-world work experience to complement the academic courses.

The capstone of the pharmacy program. They are comprised of direct patient care clinical placements completed in one of 14 regions throughout Ontario.

An opportunity to learn about and engage with social benefit organizations. CSL enables students to better understand their role in serving vulnerable populations and in improving community health and wellness.
