Parking policy
Visitors to the School of Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy’s visitors’ parking lot is located directly behind the Pharmacy building, LOT 1. The parking lot entrance is located at the traffic lights at the corner of Charles Street and Victoria Street. Be sure to drive straight ahead (with a curve to the right) until you enter the gated lot. If the lot is full, please see point 2 below for alternate parking.
Please note: there is also a parking lot on the left-hand side as you drive to the back of the building; this is NOT our parking lot, and we cannot provide tokens for exit.
Once you are parked you will need to enter the building by the front door (off Victoria Street); to exit the lot, you will need a complimentary token or will need to pay $10.00 by credit card at the gate.
Complimentary tokens are issued to guest lecturers and meeting participants and should be requested by the individual hosting the guest at least 48 hours prior (via email to phrlobby@uwaterloo.ca).
Visitors from main campus who have valid parking permits can park in the School of Pharmacy’s parking area (LOT 3) without being ticketed or towed.
Permit Parking
Permit parking in LOT 3 is reserved for faculty, staff and students who hold valid parking permits or have purchased a day pass at the blue parking meter for $5.00 using a valid credit card.
Parking permits for students are sold by term and are typically available mid- month prior to start of term and on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis.
Parking permits for staff and faculty are available via payroll deduction.
City of Kitchener Parking
Alternatively, you may use City of Kitchener managed parking. There are limited spots on Charles St., as well as several hourly (and monthly) lots within a five-minute walking distance. For more information, see the City of Kitchener Parking Map.
Parking Questions
School of Pharmacy staff and personnel are not responsible for handling parking disputes. All matters related to parking should be directed to Parking Services.
