Navigating the process of paying off student loans can be hard. How much of your income should go to debt payment? How else can you set yourself up for financial success?
The School of Pharmacy hosted a Financial Literary Workshop for the Rx2022 and Rx2023 cohorts, titled Your Financial Future: Make Smart Money Choices and Pay Off Student Debt to help students answer those financial questions.
Michelle Hung, a UWaterloo grad, from The Sassy Investor and Kendra Burkholder, small business advisor from Scotiabank led the workshop to help recent and upcoming graduates identify their financial goals, gain the tools and skills to budget effectively, gather savings tips and more.

“Money is one of the greatest sources of stress in a person’s life. Making smart financial decisions and not detrimental mistakes will help you pay off debt in the most efficient way possible,” says Michelle Hung.
The workshop ended with a lively Q&A session that students found helpful for their future financial goals.
