Seventh annual Waterloo Pharmacy Graduate Research Day showcases innovative research
The annual Waterloo Pharmacy Graduate Research Day provides a platform for students to showcase innovative research, to receive valuable feedback from their peers and professors and to connect and collaborate.
This event is instrumental in shaping the future careers of graduate students and honing their skills as effective science communicators.
The day included a keynote, student oral presentations and a research poster session.
Pharmacy Research Day serves as a vital forum for graduate scholars, fostering the exchange of scholarly endeavors, enhancing public speaking skills, cultivating professional networks and igniting inspiration through the collective brilliance of peers.
This year, keynote speaker Dr. Anjana Sengar delivered an engaging presentation on the Ethical Considerations in AI Research: Balancing Healthcare Innovation and Risk. Dr. Sengar spoke on ethical issues in adopting AI into healthcare practices, deployment failures and governance concerns while outlining how AI can benefit healthcare and enhance patient care.
Poster presentations were hosted midday where graduate students discussed their work with fellow students and faculty.
This year’s oral presentations by graduate students included:
