Show pharmacy your appreciation for #PAM2021
Pharmacy Appreciation Month (PAM) is an initiative led by the Canadian Pharmacists Association. Throughout March, people across the country will celebrate the important contributions that pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy students have made to the health of Canadians.
PAM was previously known as Pharmacy Awareness Month. The shift to “appreciation” over awareness reflects how the pharmacy community rose to the challenge of COVID-19. In 2020, the Canadian pharmacy community operated through essential business closures to answer questions, provide medication support, and allay concerns. They supported patients in communities and hospitals, gave a record number of flu shots, and were a go-to resource in many communities.
This March, we’ll be joining others across the country to celebrate the important role pharmacists play in our health-care system. Each Thursday, we will feature a pharmacy story that showcases unique ways that pharmacists have helped fight the pandemic and keep Canadians safe and healthy.
Stay tuned for our stories this month, and thank your pharmacist, pharmacy technician or pharmacy student this March!
