Waterloo Pharmacy welcomes future pharmacists at the Fall 2024 Open House
This past weekend the University of Waterloo opened its doors to prospective students for Fall 2024 Open House. Waterloo Pharmacy was on main campus on Saturday connecting with many excited future pharmacists and answering their questions. Over 5,000 people visited the Faculty of Science booth. Additionally, Waterloo Pharmacy hosted its own open house at our Kitchener campus on Sunday, so future PharmD students and families could tour the building and hear about Canada's only PharmD co-op program.
“Our recent Open House event for future pharmacists and their families was a tremendous success! We had over 200 guests visit the School, and our Student Ambassadors offered more than 20 group tours of our building," Kaitlin Bynkoski says, director of admissions & undergraduate affairs. "The enthusiasm and engagement from everyone who attended was truly inspiring. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our unique pharmacy programs, both PharmD and CAP, as well as connect with the next generation of pharmacists."
From the building’s history to lab tours, attendees learned what makes Waterloo Pharmacy unique and what a future education will have in store. Current students ran the tours and answered questions ranging from program requirements to what a typical day as a Waterloo Pharmacy student looks like.
Thank you to all our student ambassadors who volunteered their time to help make these events a success! Our Open House would not be the same without your passion and dedication. To all those who were able to attend, thank you for visiting us. We hope to see you again in the future.
