CSHP-CAPSI Hospital Pharmacy Student Award
This co-sponsored award is valued at $500 and recognizes pharmacy students who show promise as future hospital pharmacy practitioners. Eligibility requirements:
- Enrolled in a pharmacy program at a Canadian univeristy
- Active CAPSI member
- Student Supporter of CSHP
- Exhibits traits of a capable hospital pharmacy practitioner
- Training in an organized health care setting
- Demonstrated commitment to hospital pharmacy practice
- Endorsed by a preceptor or supervisor
- Highest academic achievement in PHARM 252

Ottawa-Carleton Pharmacists’ Association (OCPhA) Award
The Ottawa-Carleton Pharmacists’ Association offers two bursary awards valued at $1000 each to students who have successfully completed second year in Pharmacy at a Canadian University and who has experience working in a pharmacy environment (community, hospital, industry, etc.) in the Ottawa-Carleton region whose preceptor is a member in good standing with the Ottawa-Carleton Pharmacists' Association.

Scholarships
The UCBeyond Scholarship Program
UCB Pharma Canada offers several scholarships of up to $5,000 CDN to students who are enrolled in a post-secondary education program at an accredited Canadian institution and who have been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis by a physician. UCBeyond Scholarship recipients will be chosen by an independent selection committee of leading physicians, nurses and patient representatives from across the country.

Bursaries
The NADC Bursary (Northern Alberta Development Council)
The NADC Bursary is a return service bursary program that provides up to $14,000 over two years, and is non-repayable if you agree to live and work in the north for one year in return for each year of bursary support received. Some careers in high demand now include education, medical and health, engineering and technical fields and social work.
You may receive a NADC Bursary if you:
- are a resident of Alberta
- are enrolled in your final two years of your full-time post-secondary studies
- are within two years of graduation (three to four years for students in medicine, pharmacy and nurse practitioner programs)
- are not in default of a provincial student loan

The Pharmacy Student Bursary (Northern Alberta Development Council)
This award is a return service bursary of $6,000 or $12,000 per year for the full length of the pharmacy program (maximum 4 years). It is an incentive to encourage pharmacy students to live and work in northern Alberta upon graduation.
This bursary is non-repayable if you agree to live and work in the north for one year in return for each year of bursary support received.
You may receive a Pharmacy Student Bursary if you:
- have been a resident of Alberta for 12 consecutive months before the start of your program
- are enrolled in a four-year pharmacy degree program leading to a BSc in Pharmacy
- plan to live and work in northern Alberta upon completion of your studies and sign a return service contract

Past Awards
The Coalition of Pharmacists Caring for Aging Canadians (CPCAC) John H. Webster Memorial Award
The purpose of the John H. Webster Memorial award is to recognize a graduating student who demonstrates an interest and/or academic focus in geriatric pharmacotherapy, and to promote and foster interest at the undergraduate level in geriatric medication therapy management through collaborative patient-centered care. Award recipients receive a $1,000 honorarium, an engraved plaque, their 1st year graduate membership to the CPCAC and paid registration for the next conference where the award will be presented.
To be eligible, students must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled in their graduating year of an undergraduate or PharmD program at a Canadian School of Pharmacy, and be an active student member of CPCAC.
