Hello everyone!!
To our new students, welcome to Physics at UWaterloo! To those returning, welcome back!
We are the PHYS10 Committee, a group of student volunteers and supervising professors who want to do our part in connecting you to the physics community around you through a weekly seminar series full of panels, guest speakers, and more!
PHYS10 is the Department of Physics and Astronomy’s initiative to provide outreach for all undergraduate students to help you all learn more about what physics is like in an academic environment.
To learn more about us, come to our first session today, at 12:30-1:20 pm in M3 1006. The first 100 students will be guaranteed to tour one of our many research labs during this time period. If you want to learn more about our labs, we will have videos coming soon to give you a virtual tour on some of our great physics research labs!
This is going to be the start of a great year.
Cheers,
The PHYS 10 Committee
The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
