PSCI co-op student honoured

The University of Waterloo honoured several students with the Co-op Student of the Year Awards. These are provided annually to students for their contributions to their employers, communities and the development of co-operative education.

Our own Darya Berezhnova received an honourable mention for Waterloo’s awards this year. Congratulations!

Professors Esselment and Macfarlane enjoy an evening with the UW PSSA talking about the PC leadership and the upcoming Ontario election!  Lots of great questions and interesting discussions.

On March 2 Dr. Esselment travelled to Toronto to meet with this year’s cohort of Ontario Legislative Interns to talk about political communications and the rise of the permanent campaign.  As usual, the interns had great questions and the discussion was thoroughly enjoyable.  These smart young people will certainly make their mark in the world.  Dr. Esselment was especially happy to see intern Matthew Klassen, one of her former students at UW PSCI!

The Department of Political Science is thrilled to celebrate the return of the Master of Public Service (MPS) program to the main campus of the University of Waterloo. The MPS program can now be found in East Campus 5.
