Quantum Nano Collision Seminar Series: Professor Na Young Kim

The Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) has launched a new seminar series, Quantum Nano Collision (QNC) Seminar Series, to deepen the engagement of the Waterloo researchers who work at the interface of quantum and nanotechnologies. This seminar series will also provide opportunities for senior graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and research associates to present their innovative work along with the faculty members to bring together the excitement around these cutting-edge technologies that would shape our future.

Accessing national health statistics to improve health outcomes

Dr. Jeff Latimer, the director of the Health Statistics Branch at Statistics Canada (StatCan), will break down how to engage and collaborate with StatCan to get access to their timely and relevant data on the health of Canadians.

Waterloo faculty members, staff and students are invited to the health data seminar "Better data. Better decisions. Healthier Canadians," with special guest, Brent Diverty, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in EC5 room 1111. Brent Diverty, Vice-President, Data Strategies and Statistics at CIHI, will introduce the important and rich information available at CIHI, share progress being made in Canada towards better health data, and discuss working with CIHI data as a researcher or partner.
