Retiree Email Notice

Saturday, June 3, 2023

Due to a ransome-ware attempt, the University is securing their on line systems. As a result, all retirees and alumni must change their WATIam password by June 8th.  A notice was sent out by email to all users of the UWaterloo E-mail accounts and other systems.

After June 8th, you will be locked out of your account and will need to contact IST to unlock it for you.

As a retiree, UWRA is posting this news so that you can reach out to your retired friends and colleagues who may not be aware of this deadline.

It's easy to change your WatIAM password!

  1. Log into your WatIAM account by clicking, or copying and pasting this link to your browser:   https://idm.uwaterloo.ca/watiam/
  2. If you forgot your username or passward use this link:  https://uwaterloo.ca/watiam/
  3. Click "Change Password" button, enter new password in the "password" and "confirm password" field. (use a new strong password, do not reuse your old password).
  4. Once submitted, click on your name in the top right corner of the page and select LOGOUT.
  5. Your password is now reset across all of your UWaterloo accounts, such as Quest, Workday, Learn, WaterlooWorks, and Outlook.

If you have used your Waterloo Password for non-Waterloo accounts, it is advised that you also change those passwords now.

If you still cannot log in, or see an error about connecting to the domain, contact the helpdesk@Uwaterloo.ca
