UWRA Challenge Champions for 2023 Giving TuesdayUWaterloo’s Giving Tuesday campaign from November 21-28, 2023.

As the heart of Waterloo’s community, we have the honour of witnessing firsthand the transformative power of education. By coming together as a community, we demonstrate that each of us has a stake in the success and advancement of the University of Waterloo.

We want to share some information about the UWaterloo’s Giving Tuesday campaign from November 21-28, 2023. Alumni, parents, faculty, staff, retirees and friends of the University are invited to make a gift in support UWaterloo through charitable gifts to a variety of exciting challenges!

Last year was a record-breaking year for our Giving Tuesday campaign, with 1,724 donors contributing over $800,000 to support the university. Specifically, 56 retirees contributed $30,860! With your support this year, we can achieve more together.

The University of Waterloo Retirees Association (UWRA) board are championing the Retiree Challenge this year – When 50 unique retired faculty and staff members make a gift between November 21 – 28, 2023, an extra $2,000 will be unlocked for the Retirees Bursary Fund!

Ways you can help:

  • Consider making a gift between November 21 – 28, 2023 to count towards this year’s Retiree Challenge, or any other Giving Tuesday challenges.
  • Spread the word! - Share about Giving Tuesday on your personal social media channels.

If you have any questions, or require further information, please email Jennifer Murray, Senior Development Officer, Annual Giving, for more information.

Thank you again for the amazing work you do as a retiree and the valuable contribution you've made to UWaterloo.
