Prof. Dautenhahn on BBC Tech Tent: Should robots should look like humans?

Friday, July 2, 2021

Professor Kerstin Dautenhahn, the Canada 150 Research Chair in Intelligent Robotics and a member of the RoboHub's core research team, was recently interviewed on the BBC Tech Tent podcast about whether or not robots should look like humans.

In response to the recent news that Softbank Robotics is "pausing" the production of their very popular Pepper humanoid robot, Dautenhahn talked about several other social robots that have come and gone over the years and highlighted the persistence of outwardly simple but internally complex robots such as the Paro robotic seal.
