RoboHub Specialist: Humanoid Robotics

Alexander Werner
Alexander Werner is the RoboHub's Humanoid Specialist and a PhD Candidate at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). While his focus is control and locomotion for humanoid robots, he also supports general research in the RoboHub.

As part of his work at the RoboHub, his goal is to kick-start research on the control and locomotion of humanoid robots at Waterloo. His ultimate research goal is to create a framework for robot locomotion which combines robustness with performance.

His PhD research with the Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) was in the area of robot locomotion and intrinsically elastic walking robots.
