Professor Dana Kulić is the Director of the Robotics research group at Monash University and is an expert in humanoid robotics, human-robot interaction and intelligent systems.
While at the RoboHub, Professor Kulić led our humanoid-based research. The full-size humanoid robot in the RoboHub, TALOS, is the first of its kind in Canada and has instantly made the University of Waterloo a key centre for humanoid robotics. Two key application areas that Prof. Kulić and her team worked on include:
- Human-robot interaction to enable safe and intuitive collaboration between robots and non-experts in natural environments, and
- Improving human motion measurement and analysis tools for rehabilitation and musculoskeletal injury prevention.
See Professor Kulić's department profile for more details about her work outside of the RoboHub.
