Professor James Tung focuses on the advancement of human movement research methods and development of assistive technology for independent mobility and rehabilitation.
Drawing on knowledge in wearable sensors, signal processing, robotics, and machine learning approaches, Professor Tung’s technical contributions have advanced measurement capabilities to acquire more sensitive feedback signals related to human mobility, locomotion, and postural control. These technical advances are strongly supported by knowledge translation activities through active collaboration with medical scientists, practitioners, and industry.
