Research Assistant Professor
Professor Moojan Ghafurian is an expert on human-computer interaction and how it relates to assistive technology used in the care of older adults.
Her research explores computational models of how humans interact with computers to inform user-centred design that is applied to assistive technologies for the care of people with cognitive disabilities, and primarily persons with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. She is a member of the Social and Intelligent Robotics Research Lab, the Computational Health Informatics Lab, and the AGE-WELL network.
