SEED and the Faculty of Environment are thrilled to share that Professor Komal Habib received the Best Presenter Award at the World Resources Forum in Geneva, Switzerland (September 2025) for her talk on “Critical Minerals for Electromobility in Canada.”
Her presentation explored how Canada’s rich resource base, innovative policies, and commitment to sustainability position it as a global leader in securing the critical minerals essential for electric vehicles and other clean energy technologies. The presentation examined the potential imbalance between the demand and supply of critical minerals in Canada’s electromobility sector, and highlighted strategies for circular economy integration and pathways to strengthen the national value chain for a low-carbon future.
