Biography:
Tony has more than 30 years of direct involvement in all facets of real estate financing and development, and is the current CEO of Activa, the largest land developer & home builder in the Waterloo Region. Prior to assuming his role as CEO, Tony provided leadership over Activa’s Finance area, where he forged many strong relationships with investors while supervising the company’s financial, property management, and commercial leasing arrangements. Before he started at Activa, he held various roles in the Real Estate Finance industry, including a senior management position with a large international insurance company overseeing a multi-billion dollar real estate finance portfolio. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics and BA in Economics from McMaster University. He is also an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) and Mortgage Broker. As a proud Honorary member and past president of the Kitchener-Westmount Rotary Club, Tony is a strong proponent of “giving back to this great community”. He has volunteered his time to serve on the Boards of University of Waterloo, Family & Children Services of Waterloo Region, Sanguen Health Centre, and the Economic Advisory Committee of Waterloo, to note a few. Tony was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his substantial volunteer work and commitment to the well-being of children. He is extremely thankful to his loving wife and two beautiful daughters who have always supported him with his endeavours.
