MSC combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion, providing a powerful tool for emotional resilience. Mindfulness is the first step in emotional healing—being able to turn toward and acknowledge our difficult thoughts and feelings (such as inadequacy, sadness, anger, confusion) with a spirit of openness and curiosity. Self-compassion involves responding to these difficult thoughts and feelings with kindness, sympathy and understanding so that we soothe and comfort ourselves when we’re hurting.
Wednesday evening, halfway through the week, when everything's piled up a little. Come sit with us for an hour. Breathe, settle, put the week down for a while and leave a bit lighter than you came.
Gather and join a safe space for open conversations. Each session focuses on a different subject:
Join us in our new Community Leadership Certificate program. An opportunity for students to explore the intersections of anti-oppression and leadership while developing skills and tools to support them in their time on campus as well as into their transition to career.
